Trumpism and Modern American Feudalism

I found this conversation with Sam Vaknin very enlightening. He believes that there are only two economic systems in the world: Capitalism and Feudalism.

Vaknin says that Capitalism always deteriorates into some form of Feudalism as did Communist Russia, Nazi Germany and the
present day US.
Feudalism is defined by
*Enormous income inequality- 100 of the richest Americans own 50% of The World's wealth.
*Lack of upward mobility for the working class.
*Politics and the economy are controlled by Family Dynasties and there is glorification of those dynasties. IE" the Royals" and the
Trump family imitation of "The Royals"
* There is absence of inflation because prices are set by the elites.
* There is lack of geographical mobility.
* Anti-Globalization and anti Global trade sentiment is strong. IE: immigration policies, trade sanctions.
* Lack of rebellion by citizens, because people prefer safety and security to economic and social opportunity.

2. He fails to account for slavery and feudal systems using capitalism

The Kings and Lords of old used capitalism and slavery in their quest to control the people. The Saudis and kings of the middle east are perfectly at home using capitalism for their economic systems. Dictators have great fun forcing capitalism on the poor and what remains of their middle class.

His is quite a depressive look on social organizations. You either have a Lord to follow and bow to, or you get crushed under the wheel of capitalism.

He seems to describe socialism as a feudal system. But I may have misinterpreted that. But he does have a good word to say about socialism.

Though basically he says society is constantly moving from an unstable, unfair and destructive capitalism to an over controlling, corrupt and stagnate feudal system.

Not sure I agree with him. I think there is a middle ground....there is always a middle ground.
