The 1-2%ers don't feel the raise in prices like I do, but shit, cost is going upward. My bills interest rates are up as well and a friends of mine's SSI was over a hundred dollars short (could have been the cost for Medicare) since she is turning 65 in August.

Going to and coming home from the Twin Cities this past weekend, I did not see many 18 wheelers on Hwy 52 in either direction. The Trade Tariffs are hurting Trucking firms, causing increased prices on appliances, commodities, etc.

Does Trump care? Apprarently not.

Trucker Family Members, things coming out of Cali have slowed way down, still loads going in but your turn around time catching a load coming back has stretched from hours to days.

BTW,even the Containers via Rail have dropped in volume . West bound Containers are for the most part empty.

And yes yes, the unemployment rate is at about 50 year lows, but note that the prime age (25-54) labor force participation rate is below the pre-Great Recession average, going back to about 1987.

I use to hear a train 2 to 3 times a day. The railroad tracks are about 3 miles from my farm. You get use to the far off sound of the train, but my new dog started barking at the sound so I've noticed it during the last 4 months.

Now I rarely hear it even once a day. I'd say I hear it maybe 4 times a week. My dog has settled down and stopped barking at everything, I kind of miss the distant sound of the passing train.
