SAINT-JEAN-DE-LUZ, France — President Donald Trump said on Monday that China is ready to come back to the negotiating table and the two countries will start talking very seriously.

Speaking at the G-7 summit in Biarritz in France, Trump praised Chinese President Xi Jinping and welcomed his desire for a deal.

"China called last night our top trade people and said 'let's get back to the table' so we will be getting back to the table and I think they want to do something. They have been hurt very badly but they understand this is the right thing to do and I have great respect for it. This is a very positive development for the world," Trump said.

((I'll believe it if they DO start talking- but will it fail again?))

Chinese vice premier Liu He said on Monday that China was willing to resolve its trade dispute with the United States through calm negotiations and resolutely opposed the escalation of the conflict, a state-backed newspaper reported.

Liu, China’s top trade negotiator, was speaking at a tech conference in Chongqing in south-west China, the Chongqing Morning Post reported.

What else would they say? No, we think your president is mentally ill and this is why China opposes democracy?

It doesn't mean China is going to quietly go back to the negotiation table and revert back to the way things were before our filthy rich put Traitor Trump in the white house.

China will do what is good for China no matter how much our orange bafoon rattles his cage or how much poo he throws.

Traitor Trump was installed by our filthy rich capitalist kings And I think he has broken some of his chains. Their monster is trampling their wealth grabbing machine. The monster was only suppose to trample us.

The man is not right in the head. He repeats himself, speaks gibberish, and has a very limited vocabulary too.

"China called last night our top trade people and said 'let's get back to the table' so we will be getting back to the table and I think they want to do something. They have been hurt very badly but they understand this is the right thing to do and I have great respect for it. This is a very positive development for the world," Trump said.

8. Something more sinister than just a trade war?

... Chris Weston, head of research at the brokers Pepperstone in Melbourne, said there was a growing belief that Trump was not concerned about the negative impact of his policies on share prices.

“The fact that many are now seeing the division between Xi and Trump as something more sinister than just a trade war has seen [the case] for a global recession increase …”

... Trump’s calls for US businesses to pull out of China would impact their sales and net interest margins, he said, adding another layer of concern. “We are even hearing, at a worst-case-scenario, that the US could restrict China’s access to the financial markets and that is a genuinely scary proposition.”
