Who remembers "Magic Fingers"?

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by A HERETIC I AM (a host of the Personal Finance and Investing group).

That little box you'd feed with quarters to get the mattress to vibrate at a motel?
I got a vibrating back cushion for Christmas.

Had a heater, ran off the cigarette lighter thingy, was dirt cheap, and I wish I had it.

My husband and I drove out to Glacier National Park on our honeymoon. On the way, we stopped someplace that had one of them. As a joke, we turned it on. About 30 seconds later we got a call from the front desk asking us to turn it off because it was bothering the guests downstairs. Whoopsie.

But then we thought, "Why have them on the second floor in the first place if you can't use it?" But we unplugged it.

that was the first time I ever saw one of those. Of course, I thought it was for massaging your back.

Shortage of shingles and other building materials.
Many in neighborhood (including me) still have blue tarps on roof.

Plugged in the cloth wrapped cord and it shook all to hell.
Placed it under a queen mattress and it was wonderful.
Used it so much it finally just died.
