City Council Committee Puts the Brakes on Charter School Expansion

City Council committee puts the brakes on charter school expansion due to lack of oversight

City Council Daniel Dromm (D-Queens), who heads the city Education Committee, said the city has no control over the charter schools even though they are given $13,000 per student. An investigation into harsh discipline, rigged admissions and other allegations needs to be completed, reads a letter the committee will send to the state.

1. Dromm, an ex-teacher and chapter leader, is taking on the role of grown-up here.

Cuomo and the NYS DEM Party Inc.... arrested at a primitive stage of moral development.... have sold out to the megabucks charter school lobby. 800,000 shekels in the coffers for the guv alone. More pay-for-play. *Albany* style.

Listen to Dromm : Imagine... 25 years in the school system. He just MIGHT know what he's talking about.

So tell it to the federal prosecutor, Andy.
