Politicized Supreme Court Guts Clean Air Act; Environmental Activists Hope For Backlash - MSNBC Prime

Bill McKibben, environmental activist, talks about how the Supreme Court checked another item off its political to-do list as decades of big business opposition to environmental regulation was realized in a new ruling from the court, and expresses hope that the sheer unpopularity of the ruling will motivate a backlash. Aired on 06/30/2022.

Great guests and deep dives, especially into Supreme Court's recent disastrous decisions. Thank you, Rhiannon.

I'd be fine if he occupied this time slot permanently - but he seems to be the go-to substitute these days and can handle any show - or topic - on the schedule.

that he's been in South Africa researching a book. So maybe being the pinch hitter is what he wants. He's very good, in any case.

I remember thinking at the time that no one else on the schedule could have handled that - but he did and did a stellar job. I don't know what kind of awards that they hand out, but he certainly deserves one, especially for that reporting.

And thanks for the heads up on his research. He also likes to point out that he's actually the Muslim who was born in Kenya! (Though his parents were Canadian, he's said that Toronto is his "home town." )
