Swiss glaciers, which attract skiers and climbers and are essential to Europe’s water supply, have been disappearing at record speed.

A new study shows that Switzerland’s glaciers have lost more than half their volume in less than 100 years.

This year’s hot summer has accelerated the loss of ice.
