Tory MP lies to the public about wind turbines, after secret recording

Greenpeace secretly recorded Chris Heaton-Harris, a Tory MP currently running the campaign in a by-election (for a seat formerly held by a Tory, but expected to be won this time by Labour). They've already revealed how he was secretly encouraging an independent anti-wind farm candidate (the awful James Delingpole, the Daily Telegraph's resident climate change liar) against his own candidate.

Now they show how he lies to the public about wind turbines and birds - in private, he admits there's 'no half decent' research on the danger to birds, but he loves the 'bird blender' phrase so much, he uses it all the time, and uses it to put pressure on the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (with about a million members, possibly the largest membership of any organisation in Britain), who are OK with turbines. And then, in a public interview, he claims the research exists:

Hard to do.

If the recordings were made in the opposite order, he'd be nailed.
