"Chasing Ice"

I want to encourage everyone to see this amazing documentary. As a photographer, I was enthralled by Balog's incredible images, by his perseverance in capturing his subject, but as a human being, I'm horrified. Having lived here in Alaska since 1975, of course, I have seen ample evidence of glacial retreat, most notably Portage Glacier which is near here, but the way Balog was able to show in a few moments how much these glaciers have retreated in just three or four years' time was a real eye-opener.

This should be required viewing for all climate change deniers.

It was playing 150 miles away - I seriously thought about going and couldn't justify spending the gas to get there. I'm trying to get it brought to my city.
