What about pork? Is that an environmentally safe meat? We do eat pork frequently.

(3,929 posts)turkey, shrimp, fish, chicken and lots of veggies. Yet I cook more gourmet now than when kids were home. home. Yay, no more mac n cheese.

It's not a health issue with me - it's just that since I grew up on a farm with baby calves to fed (their Moms were milked), I formed a loving attachment to the little critters and the thought of killing and eating them, young or old, sickened me. My siblings also still feel the same.
Could anyone here eat their pets?

beef is expensive so if i switch to pork does that make me a better person.....
