2. I tried Coastal and they were ok but

I really like the glasses I have gotten from Zenni Optical and they were cheaper. Because they are so cheap I have a few pairs now. Cheapest was $8.00 and think the most expensive I have gotten were around $15... plus reasonable shipping. My SO got no line progressive bifocals from Zenni and he loves his. They cost 59.00. Beats the 535. Pearl wanted and that was using his old frames.

and that is a remarkable price. I will need new glasses one of these days soon, and I will definitely check them out.

4. How do you adjust frames?

If you need an adjustment, would a local optical store do it for a fee?

though I haven't had but one pair that needed more than I could do myself. Then again I've always had to readjust when I got mine from the optical store.

As I recall, they delivered only a day, maybe 2, after the original expected delivery date.

They were a bit on the heavy and tight side, uncomfortably so, so the next month I ordered one pair from Zenni.

The Zenni glasses were lighter, didn't require any finessing to get a comfortable fit, came with more included features that Coastal charges extra for, frames didn't "look" as cheap in person, and they even included a kind of ruler/gauge (made of cardstock), handy for double-checking your PD (pupillary distance) for accuracy.

7. I'm a little scared of this

I really really hate wasting money. I bought a pair from Zenni with a prescription to exactly match a pair I had just bought in store previously, but for some reason the field of vision is super wonky and gives me headaches in no time flat. Now I'm scared to try the online glasses, even if they are superiority less expensive.

I go to the dollar store and pay $1.29 each. I buy a bunch, keep one in my jacket, one in the van, one to read by on the night stand, one or two next to the computer.

10. My left eye is weaker, I exersice the left eye

This involves covering my right eye and making the left eye focus on a point very close, then switching to a point farther away. 10 reps.

I have been doing so for better than 30 years. Otherwise I would be faced with changing perscriptions as the eye muscles weakened over the years.

13. I have purchased from Zenni Optical

I found them through Clark Howard's website.

I purchased bi-focal rim-less, anti-glare (with no lines for the bi-focal part) for a small sum. Sorry I am not up on the technical terms...I am new to glasses.

It is good to have a couple resources I guess for glasses.
