Use a geo-location app on your mobile phone, like foursquare or even Facebook places, to “check-in” from your local shelter. Maybe even take a photo of a pet there and post it on social media to help promote adoption.

I did not know this was tomorrow but we were already going to adopt tomorrow a new kitty

My cat (almost 15, died last week, and we are adopting a kitty, going to one of the shelters near us tomorrow.
We adopted him coincidentally enough the Sunday before 9/11/2001, he was at least 2 or 3 before we adopted him
And also adopted a little kitty the same time.

Best place to adopt.
