Kerry: Iran must stop supporting terror

In special interview, Kerry says Iran must stop its support of terror, both in Syria and in Lebanon via Hezbollah. Also comments on peace process giving rare details regarding 'framework agreement'

In an exclusive interview given to al-Arabiya, US Sectary of State John Kerry commented on Syria, Iran and the peace process, during which he slammed Iran for supporting terror and promised military option still on the table should it backtrack from the Geneva deal.

Syira was the main focus of the interview, but Israeli-Palestinian peace talks were not forgotten, and thus despite his best efforts, Kerry revealed some details in the secretive talks being conducted.

After being asked what he mean by a 'framework' agreement between the Palestinians and Israelis, Kerry responded: "The framework agreement would be the best thinking of both parties as to what an end game of peace agreement could look like and what they would agree to as a matter of principles as to how they would negotiate towards that end game final status agreement."

Elaborating, Kerry said such an agreement "could help create a guideline if you will - a road map - that doesn’t take you to an interim agreement but to a final status agreement where you have an end of conflict, end of claims, there is a Palestinian state, there is an end of the occupation, security for Israel is clear and people can see the future."

We will completely capitulate and drop the trade embargo, financial blocks and everything else that might be unpleasant to Iran.

Hell of a tough stance there....

But then Kerry's shown pretty thoroughly that he's all asses and elbows when it comes to foreign affairs. I'm still not over him parading around Europe accusing the EU of basically appeasing Hitler.

to name where they come from; the decline of the American Empire with all is centrifugal and centripetal convulsions; the fear of many in the West and especially Japan in the East of an unstoppable, rising China; and the unholy alliance of Israel and the House of Saud to keep the wider Middle East mired in sectarian conflict. These are the real "geopolitical tensions" that could revamp 1914; not Iran, China or Russia's foreign policy strategies.

"Palestinians need to know that at the end of the day their territory will be free of Israeli troops – that occupation ends," Kerry said in a speech at the global economic forum in Davos, Switzerland. But, he added, that day would not come until Israel was certain that the territory from which they withdrew would not be used as a launch pad for attacks on its citizens.

"The Israelis rightfully will not withdraw until they know the West Bank will not become another Gaza," the secretary of state clarified.

considering the building plans and military provocations Israel has committed since the beginning of this round of 'negotiations' one wonders if the predictions of "another Gaza" ofrom Israel are a prophecy or statement of intent
