Israeli authorities force Palestinian to demolish his own home

https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/news/middle-east/16137-israeli-authorities-force-palestinian-to-demolish-his-own-home

The Municipality of Jerusalem has forced a Palestinian to demolish his own home in Sour Baher neighbourhood in the occupied city, Qudsnet has reported. The Israeli-run authority claimed that the house was built without an official permit.

According to Qudsnet, the house was owned by Jerusalemite Ismail Al-Masri, who confirmed that the Israeli occupation authorities served the demolition order on him a week ago. The two-storey house was built 5 years ago, he added.

The occupation municipality in Jerusalem denies as a matter of policy Palestinian citizens the right to build new homes and expand or renovate existing buildings. Palestinians are usually given the option of demolishing their own home or paying the Israelis to do it for them.

The occupation municipality in Jerusalem denies as a matter of policy Palestinian citizens the right to build new homes and expand or renovate existing buildings, but Israel thinks nothing of their brutal and humiliating colonization of Palestine: which is expressly prohibited by the 4th Geneva convention.

I'm sure that the deniers of occupation will be by shortly...

Other than a "website," twitter and a facebook page where they reply to their own posts, I've come up with nothing.

That's where I draw the line.

Destroying property of a terrorist and his family is not really the solution.

Just detain the terrorist and force him to go through the process. Levy heavy financial penalties, but do not throw these families out if they had no part of the activities.

Does that surprise you there, Mr. Olivaw?

The home owner is not a terrorist. He is just a Palestinian who built a house without a permit. A permit he would not be able to get, simply because he was a Palestinian. How do you feel about restrictions on housing construction based on ethnicity and religion? If your family expands what should he do?
