Show's Over for Teen Who Said Obama Made His Friends Gay

There's no more show for the teenager who generated an outsized firestorm online by claiming President Obama had turned his friends gay.

The recording service Spreaker has shut down Caiden Cowger's online radio show after deeming it hate speech.

"We're really sorry, but the page you're looking for can't be found," a message on the site says in place of the show.

This follows after YouTube also appeared to remove the show from its site, although its resurfaced elsewhere on the site and opponents have started a red-flagging campaign.

so why is Limpballs still polluting our airwaves?

I hope this is a first step toward cleaning our radio airwaves. It's badly needed.

After all it's private enterprise self regulation, and isn't that something they love?.. Youtube, and Spreaker, as private enterprises deciding what they will and won't show? This is soooo much more delicious than government intervention to remove hate speech imho.

What's more, it's only going to get better. Every year their cause and medieval crusade against us loses ground. They get their little victories every now and then like Prop 8, and NC's amendment 1... but really, it's the last desperate attempts to hold on. I know it gets disheartening sometimes when we do get these setbacks, but let's just look back 20 years ago to 1992:

1. Don't ask Don't Tell hadn't been implemented yet. Now, you might think that was a good thing, but really it wasn't. DADT WAS a real step in the right direction. When I joined the Navy in 1989, I had to sign a BUNCH of statements that I wasn't gay, that I'd never had a homosexual encounter or relationship, and I had to swear to those statements numerous times to join. DADT eliminated that inquisitional type of questioning. Now it's completely gone.
2. DOMA (which was a huge, down the board step back for us) hadn't been implemented yet. But, there wasn't a single state in the country that we could get married, or even have partnership rights in at all. Even Canada didn't have legalized marriage yet. We had no options at all to declare ourselves for each other, much less have any rights as couples. It's only been since 2001 that 10 countries have legalized same sex marriage or equal benefit unions.

Stories like this are GREAT news imho. Not just because of the steps that are being taken, but that they are steps being taken within the private sector. It's one thing when the government tells the public what is and isn't acceptable treatment of our rights, but these are much better.
