for which I blame Marvel not to go very strict on the issue, but:

Is that black panther...I didn't know he was gay!

On edit.....lol..it isn't BP. He's getting married to someone else. Looks like a woman. Does anyone have a list of gay superheroes....maybe I'll google it.

Northstar is one of the old Alpha Flight characters who got transferred to the X-Men when Alpha Flight ended. His boyfriend, and now husband, is an unpowered character called Kyle who's been a supporting character for a few years.

The Black Panther is married to Ororo Munroe (Storm) of the X-Men. That was much less well received because most people hated the way the writer (Reg Hudlin) seemed to be throwing them together simply because they were both black. That same writer also turned Wakanda (Panther's country) into a utopia who wouldn't share the cure for cancer with whitey (I'm exaggerating for effect but only very slightly).

Wiki don't seem to have a list for purely gay characters but there are categories for LGBT heroes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:LGBT_superheroes) and LGBT villains (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:LGBT_supervillains).

If nothing else, one has to applaud them for having the cajones to actually go through with it.
