Trigger warning: Why do police rarely chase down

and arrest serial rapists?

Easy answer is misogyny. Obviously protecting women and children is way behind property crimes.

Of course, many men believe women are property. So why not pursue and arrest the bad men.

I understand the history of policing as slave patrols, control and intimidation of society, authoritarian psychology. Doesn’t really answer the question.

Thoughts?

There are thousands of rape kits that sit around for years and never get tested. Manpower, and newer cases always coming in.

I haven't heard that one before.

I don't know, cbabe. But, I bet it gets more attention if the woman is murdered after she's raped.
