Women's advocates rally in Lancaster against Conestoga Wood contraception ruling

Supporters of companies with religious objections to covering contraception say they dont understand why women dont just buy birth control themselves.
But Maureen Powers, CEO of YWCA Lancaster, asserted yesterday, contraceptive coverage may mean the difference for some women between getting by and falling into poverty.
She said YWCA Lancaster provides day care for many hard-working families, whose incomes barely allow them to keep a roof over their heads and food in their refrigerators.
Paying out of pocket for birth control could cost a hefty chunk of a low-paid workers income, she said, and another child, unplanned, could push the family further into a cycle of poverty.....
