Have you ever wondered what DU would look like with Woman as the Dominant Gender

This Chrome Extension Jailbreak the Patriarchy will give you a taste.

"Genderswaps your view of the web.

Jailbreak the Patriarchy genderswaps the world for you. When it's installed, everything you read in Chrome (except for gmail, so far) loads with pronouns and a reasonably thorough set of other gendered words swapped. For example: "he loved his mother very much" would read as "she loved her father very much", "the patriarchy also hurts men" would read as "the matriarchy also hurts women", that sort of thing.

This makes reading stuff on the internet a pretty fascinating and eye-opening experience, I must say. What would the world be like if we reversed the way we speak about women and men? Well, now you can find out!"

It's kind of a giggle to see how things could look if all other things were equal. Though quite frankly, I don't imagine that things would be quite the mess they are now.

And it was quite weird going into a thread about catholic priests and seeing the term "those women raping little boys." I turned the plug-in off right away... it was too surreal. Kinda understand where the guys are coming from when we speak in general terms.

if the truth didn't hurt. When have you ever heard about women committing an actual sexual assault or real domestic violence?

Women commit sexual crimes just like men. Generally they are less common, but you can't just pretend they don't exist.

just like there are good guys (my two roommates are great examples) and good women. I genuinely believe most of the guys on DU are good guys, just as I believe most of the women are good.
