you don't need surgery maybe,
there is an exercise practiced by wine bottle turners in france. it is hard to describe but they use the baton rouge to do a double hand stretch three times. it cured my carpal in 2002 and i never had to deal with it again.

I could not find any online references to this stretch as it is quite difficult to describe. This stretch was taught to my by a doctor in Haines, Alaska when I was a pastry chef on a cruise ship. It seems as though Haines had quite a history with carpal tunnel syndrome from the window washers on the many trains embarking to the yukon and the fever dreams of gold. the stretch itself comes from the riddlers of France who would develop carpal tunnel from the repetitive motion of turning the wine bottles, in response at the end of the day they would stretch with the red baton(baton rouge) three times to keep their wrists hardy.
Since I could not find any visual references to show you i had to film my daughter performing the stretch for better understanding.

we're so bad that I often had to steer my car with my forearms for a while to relieve them.

I haven't had any trouble with them since.

A friend had a steroid shot that relieved her carpal tunnel syndrome adequately, but her case wasn't as severe as mine. However, she was a beautician, so it interfered with her work. But since the shot relieved her pain, she didn't get the surgery.

We did try shots first on my wrists, but they didn't help at all, so I had the surgery and got immediate and complete relief.

Before I retired it would flair up in my right hand. Treated it by wearing a brace I bought at CVS and aspirin. Since I retired I have no issues. I really didn't want the surgery.

carpal tunnel syndrome but that’s not what I had. Check out brachial plexus syndrome. There’s a reason a lot of people who get surgery for carpal don’t get relief.

I had to go for PT and wear gloves at night. Also got a nerve conduction study.

I've been feeling this for about 7 years; I'm tired of dealing with this, not to mention the discomfort.

Surgery is scheduled for Tuesday. I'm looking forward to some relief, and happy to read that's attainable.
