It will also help to keep your glasses from fogging up.

... a LOT, but your suggestion helps too.

I wear a molded mask now, but used medical tape in the past for the regular masks.

2. I got a small amount of twine

And threaded it through both ear straps and tied them together loosely about 1/4inch of string between separating the ear straps with the tied twine.

I put it over my head, pull my hair free, put my ears through the elastic ear straps that are tighter and it stays on.

4. I use a Velcro strip to link the ear loops around the back of my head.

Easy on, easy off, and you can adjust the tension to ensure the mask does not slip.

Also relieves pressure on the ears.

5. Or purchase some with the more traditional surgical mask design that tie behind your head...

The around-the-ear loop design is never as secure to your face and becomes irritating with constant wearing.

You can find recommended hand-made three-layer face masks with a nose wire that incorporate around-the head ties if you search.

My coworkers all diligently wear masks, but it drives me crazy to see some of them constantly fiddling with the mask.
