There is a rot in this world.

A rot and a rage. A rage so strong that it cannot be contained and it must be inflicted on the world. The rot is our acceptance of outrageous actions such as what happened today. Before lunch I thought there were "only" three people shot and in the hospital. After lunch there were twenty-six people dead. What is the limit where we say, "No more!"? It bothers me that I accepted the small number as just another day in America's twisted relationship with guns.
I am sick. Sick of being bludgeoned over the head with increasing numbers of victims of someone's rage and murderous efficiency. The dead are at peace. The living? We got a lot of explaining to do.
