Lagaan - Once upon a Time in India on Netflix streaming
Does a Bollywood musical drama centered around cricket match in British Colonial India in the 1890's with lots of subtitles sound like a movie you would want to see?
I didn't think so either......... until I saw Lagaan!
If you have Netflix streaming, you owe it to yourself to give it a viewing. You'll find it in the recently added dramas.

Hinduism, Muslim, Jainism and Sikhism.
This is such a clever movie at so many levels!
So many themes running simultaneously. Religion, caste system, colonialism......and that fuggin' boring game of cricket made exciting! All at the same time! With Clint Eastwood spaghetti western style suspense.
