Just have to say thanks to this board.

It was here I learned about Roku 3 and Acorn TV. Thank you!

My house is now fully wired, no wireless, and I can stream shows
on two tv's and use my computer, and at the same time with
the ethernet cables plugged into a broadband router that a PC
tech came by and configured.

Next, getting a cord Skype phone.

I dropped the last vestige of cable TV and its no-choice menu of channels last year, and even though I'm paying almost as much for cable alone, at least I don't have to pay for channels I never watch or actively dislike.

I've read that the cable companies lost something like 200,000+ customers each last year, so I had to laugh when Comcast sent me a flyer offering what was essentially a pseudo-Netflix experience with the ability to watch programs and movies on demand.

No, Comcast, you lost me when the channels all turned to crap and you refused to institute a la carte cable so that I had to pay for 95 channels of crap to get the five I actually watched.

I have T-W internet and basic cable tv. The price isn't too bad right now,
probably because google fiber is coming here next summer. But if
the price goes up, I will give up the cable tv and go with internet only.
Netflix and Acorn TV give me plenty to watch anyway.

I'm so happy to be completely wired. I was really worried about what
emfs were doing to my eyes and body.

I just can't decide which Skype cord phone to get. They're not in the
stores around here, and I want to buy it from a store in case I need to
return it.
