"Like Crazy". One zany Italian road movie!

Here's part of my review: Another one of my favorite themes: road movies. This is an Italian movie about a couple of misfits who are in a mental institution in Tuscany. One is an older woman who has a lot of connections with the Italian upper crust, and can't stop talking.

Check out my blog for the rest of the review and a trailer:

3. I enjoyed this. But maybe that's the place I'm in now, meds working, enjoying things.

At other places in my life (especially my dark paranoid places) maybe I'd find this movie disturbing, or feel like it was making fun of me.

Mental illness doesn't seem like it should be anything to laugh at, yet this movie has a sweet heart, and the characters encounter kind people along the way.

I've had my own misadventurers arising from mental health issues and sometimes I can tell funny stories about them. I spent some time in a locked psych ward just last year and I take powerful psych meds which keep me somewhat functional in this society. And, as in this movie, I've been fortunate to encounter many kind people.
