(34,424 posts)I get to go to open meetings with my husband and his friends and I am always so impressed with the courage and stubbornness it takes to get to these landmarks.
Congratulations! Stick with it.

(34,424 posts)My husbands sponsor's partner told his at the last meeting I went to several months ago. Man, I do not know if I could do it. I know a ton of people in NA and/or AA and I am in awe of everyone of you who manage to make this happen. Lean on them as hard as you need to. It took my husband quite a long bunch of years to get it right but he finally did. It took a very strong sponsor and working the steps was really good for him. He has done that several times just to keep on the right track.
I was not convinced AA was that strong, now I am.
I was very skeptical at first. The vision is strong, at least in my area. No judgement. Very positive. Reinforcement. A lot of cool Cats that dig what I'm saying. They have been at this for years. And Young people. I did too much but they want me to be there. Power to you and your husband. Sponsor is the next. step. I cross that bridge next time..
You made a difference and thanks for that.
