My heart belongs to all those combatting this disease...

although DU started out for me as a political board, when times changed the politics faded into the background. Whether you are a patient or caregiver our lives will never be the same.

Wishing everyone well on this confusing journey, one day at a time.

Sometime the voices here go silent for a while, but that is totally understandable. All energy must go into the fight; and that fight must surely encompass the roller coaster of discouragement and pain.

So many of us come here to check this site to find out how people are doing--people we have never met but have come to truly care about. A VERY REAL caring.

I often visit this site and don't ever say anything. So it's time I joined in and DID say something, however inadequate.

You all are in our thoughts! Sending prayers and white light....

and the first fight is always the disease. But everyone wants encouragement and support, sometimes it is difficult to ask for these items, but a short note to those going through treatment means so much. And for that I sincerely thank you!

It is not inadequate at all to those battling a life threatening disease, in fact a word here or there can mean so very much, I know it did for my husband. THANK YOU!

I can hardly believe we are now enjoying a holiday abroad after what we faced a few years, thanks to my fantastic sister and BIL.

Strangers can be so kind ... thank you for being a kind stranger

it can be a scary and lonely time, hopefully you have been able to find some information and will be able to deal with things on a day by day basis.

Keep moving forward
