Going to be brave, but very scared

Going for ultrasound Thursday for calcifications found on back xray. So scared, almost want to cancel. But I know I should follow through. Been googling symptoms. Need to stop. Right now, feel like I'm crawling out of my skin. Have a bad feeling. Thanks for reading

If its not too personal, may I ask why. If that's too personal, my apologies. I see another DUer is having a 3-hr MRI today.

Shes scared, and I empathize. Hoping your results are clear and all is ok? I suspect, in my case, I'm heading for an MRI.

I’ve been having constant headaches for a while now that don’t go away with Tylenol or Motrin. So I’m terrified that it’s a brain tumor.

Yes, that's concerning. I caught covid from an unmasked asshole in a Drs office and suffered long-term headaches for months. Sending you light and love and positivity

It seems like they started shortly after I got it. I mean, long COVID’s not good but it’s better than a brain tumor, I suppose!

I'm hoping these calcifications are benign, the same way. What I don't want to hear is cancer

I can’t wait for the day when cancer is just a minor inconvenience. Hopefully that day comes soon. Sending you good vibes and virtual hugs for your ultrasound.

When an X-ray detected a lump on my spine...

First there was the CT scan.

Then the MRI.

THEN they decided to drill for oil.

Result: it was just a bone island.

((I don't know if the doctor wanted to CYA, or wanted to get their fingers "wet".))

Hopefully, you will have a null result too.

You'll assume the worst based on what you find on the Internet. I've used the Internet to convince myself that I had all manner of obscure and terrible afflictions which I did not have; I no longer do medical research online. Ultrasound is used for a lot of things, not just cancer screenings. You're better off NOT trying to do your own research. I hope you get good news, but no matter what, you'll be taken care of by people who know what to do. The Internet doesn't know what to do, so spare yourself and don't ask it.

Thank you everyone here is so kind. The ultrasound came back as gallbladder sludge. Nothing else was indicated and no other tests recommended. I'm working on eating less fat.
