Hearing aid info needed: I'm being offered

hearing aids with 48 channels, 32 or 24. Are the additional channels worth the higher price? The range is the same for all the models, just more distinct frequencies amplified.

...I highly recommend that you get the BEST hearing aid that you can afford. Individual frequencies can be adjusted digitally, specific to your particular hearing loss. Make sure you choose a seller that knows how to program them properly and that the wireless tv/phone accessories are included in the price.

Try them out beforehand and then choose accordingly...

it made me feel a lot better about the pair I chose.

I wear Phonak Audeo Q90 and Phonak CROS.

4. I think it's an Opticon - but I went with what the audiologist chose

and fitted.

5. How are they working out for you?...

Opticon is a good brand. How many channels did you end up with?

6. I think they set it up with six channels - although could be wrong

I'm going by the six vertical lines laid over the amplification curve on the computer screen.
