So tired... Ltd. Insurance payback

I've been getting 2100 a month from the long-term disability company. I'll have to pay back the money. If I get 1500 a month, thats how much I'll be paying back. I've been paid 6 months. The payback will come out of any backpayments from ssdi. If I owe more than the back pay, there's a repayment plan.

I worked so hard not to be in debt. I'm so tired of it all. I just feel lost at this point. I might be 50k in debt. It's all so confusing

She sent me an email because I was confused. I called the lawyer, but they never responded to my question about this. I have a call into the lawyer to get a letter for the ltd company with information, but the lady was busy.

Hopefully, she'll call soon.

I feel trapped and helpless

It is going to be however it is going to be, well beyond your control.

Just roll with it.

Did lawyer guestimate how long till s/he expects you to be approved?

Several years. I'm just so worn down. I was turned down the first time because my interviewer said that having problems my whole life meant I can still keep working

I helped someone apply in TN. Agency that was helping the person told me in this red hellhole, people get denied 6 or 7 times before approval.

Are they expecting the disability will go away and you'll be returning to work? Or are they simply off the hook if ssdi kicks in? There's something here that doesn't make full sense.

They're off the hook once I get ssdi. But I'm expected to pay back overpayment. It's all very confusing. I asked my lawyer, but they didn't respond. I know they're busy.
