At 10pm last night. Said the status of my submission has been updated. I see nothing different upon signing in. Still says under reconsideration. Just called my lawyer to report this. Driving me crazy.
Lawywrcsaid check later and on Monday.

(14,817 posts)Shes the conduit of information. You're right, the lawyer will be updated, as my representative. So many details.
Feel like I'm juggling balls

(2,260 posts)I am a lawyer that does SSA cases. That system is notoriously garbage. There are several things to remember:
1. The messages that there has been a change/update are often wrong.
2. The actual status is often wrong. For example, about a year ago a lot of us were answering endless queries about Why has my case at hearing level been decided without a hearing?!?! The answer, over and over, was Ignore the status. Your case has not been decided. The system is just being updated wrong again.
3. Your attorney has no information. You may be desperate for info, but dont keep calling your lawyer just because you see something like this. Your lawyer gets updated info in only one way: on paper, through the same letter that you get. Its sent to both of you on the same day.
4. The ONLY time your lawyer will have different info than you do, is if its at the hearing or appeals council level, youre post-decision, and the database we can download for status happens to show an approval or denial, and a date. That, or when there has been a problem with the handling of your claim and your attorney has been kicking down doors to make them get it back on track. But we do not have any back channel information or better sources than you do. Specifically, they do NOT tell us even if youve won, before the PAPER decision comes out, unless we are trying to (again) fix a problem and they break a rule by telling us incidentally (rare).
In other words, ignore the emails and the status online, and be patient.
