Where does mania begin and personality end?

Just wondering, the posts yesterday plus my own thoughts about things do leave me wondering at times -- is this mania, or is this just me? And, if it's something I feel positive about, but then question, that leaves me a bit sad to think maybe it's a symptom of disease and not just my personality.

My example for today, I just rode my new bike 30.33 miles. I posted about it very proudly in the lounge:

But here, I ask the question -- was it mania? It doesn't feel like mania, I set this goal ahead of time, it wasn't just some spur of the moment thing, I've been working on building up my stamina and strength and pushing myself to go further and further -- went up from 15 to 21 to 25/26 to now 30 1/3 miles.

It feels like victory, not disease. So I hope it is victory.

you aren't thinking of doing the tour de france are you?
the big thing is- does it come and go? i don't think that kind of physical mania gets people in trouble, anyway. the biggie is either money mania, which gets a LOT of people in trouble, or the hypersexuality, which can cause a lot of grief as well.
paranoia is another part of it that can be real disruptive.

this is where a lot of bp's get in trouble, the mania can be so good. as long as it's just bike rides and long days in the garden, enjoy it.

def one where it helps to be open about what is going on, so that people can take things with a grain.
