i haven't been around much but things are going well
things have been sailing right along here. it seems we've found a good balance of meds, so my brain is in the right place (mostly, the damn committee still fires up from time to time), my marriage is in the right place and things in general are much more stable than they were six, nine months ago. i finally threw away the divorce papers i've been keeping around since february, which was a fantastic feeling. we even made it through thanksgiving without a fight or tears, which is a first in my family. the biggest stressor in my life right now is the impending hospital bills from two er trips for my uninsured husband a few weeks ago, including a ct scan, to figure out why he was having terrible abdominal pain.
i am feeling a bit bah humbug about the holidays this year, but i'm just bored with the work we put into the holidays anymore. i just want a quiet day with my family that doesn't involve ten plus hours of work to put food on the table. and my husband was a bit bothered that he and i didn't really get anytime to spend together on thanksgiving because i was so busy cooking. that's neither here nor there, though, as we had a good day and i know we'll have a good holiday next month.
