Update on petition for psychology, civil rights and justice group

With the new Ask the Administrators forum I posed the question whether was it possible and what must be done to create a new group.

The response from Skinner was " It is possible. It has not been a high priority for us. I think there are a bunch we need to shut down first. "

To be honest, the emotionally disengaged part of me can do that better than other faces of my personality. But, while I maintain contact with that mode I can see that:

The site belongs to the Admin. They get to make the decisions. A petition is a request, no more.

The Admin are within their rights to ignore or deny requests made of them without communicating their decision with me.

I have at least two degrees of freedom that meet community standards going forward. Those freedoms follow from 2 options, one with alternatives. To wit: 1) not participating on DU or 2) participating on DU opting a) to donate or b) to read ads placed onto my screen by tracking cookies.
