I have the same genetic demons, but I don't pretend to know what you're going through, even though I've contemplated suicide myself years ago. I would encourage you to reach out to those around you, or to a professional if possible.

However, as a survivor of suicide (my mother took her own life) it is a hot button for me. She would not get the help she sorely needed and we could not save her. I believe a professional could have. I'm a believer in good counseling. Please consider it. Peace.

"Been there, done that", as they say - even included an involuntary two-week vacation at Dorothea Dix before it closed. That was almost 25 years ago, and I'm glad today I wasn't successful.

I still have major problems, even worse than when I did that, but I'm determined to stick around even if for no other reason than my kitties depend on me. Besides, we've got to be here to properly torture the GOP...
