(22,037 posts)To begin, a large Caesar salad accompanied by garlic bread.
To continue, fresh linguini with the Landlady(!)'s homemade Carbonara sauce. Her version has a bit of cream and peas along with the pancetta, eggs and Romano cheese. The pasta comes from a local joint that makes their own pastas. There's nothing like fresh pasta compared to the usual dried stuff in a box. (I'd eat it anyway since I love pasta!)
Chocolate ice cream to finish.

(22,767 posts)I had my leftover steak for breakfast/lunch around 1p. (Going to bake a ham tomorrow.)
Options for dessert later: sliced strawberries sweetened with stevia over angel food cake with vanilla ice cream or sugar free fudgsicle.

Roasted with ginger ale and onion soup mix.
Added potatoes last 45 minutes.
Tender, wonderful, flavorful.
