Discarded a whole can of Yuban, now into a brick of Maxwell House, medium roast. Not as good as the last one, but still coffee and caffeine. I like my coffee nutty, and that flavor is elusive.

2 thick slices of spam fried golden brown on a cast iron skillet and toasted homemade bread with real butter.

I cooked some bacon, but I haven't decided how I'm going to use it.

But I've managed to have 3 cups of coffee already.

So much for breakfast; I've started prepping dishes for the weekend: already I've sliced two roasted chicken breasts.

Next up will be cucumber salad in tarragon cream dressing.

It is nice to have my herbs back: yesterday I took a big bag of chives, marjoram, sage, cilantro, mint, and thyme to my friend, along with a bunch of grape hyacinth. The mint smells heavenly. I can't wait for basil, my all time favorite herb aroma.
