I'm making Creamy Cauliflower Soup, a recipe I found at Taste of Home's web site. I want to have this cold, and I think it will be by the time I want it this evening.
In addition, a slice of cauliflower crust pizza with yellow and green pepper, onion, broccoli, and lots of mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
Tart cherry kombucha.
Dessert: cold vanilla nut decaf and Thai banana fritters.

(414 posts)I've already got jars of homemade yellow splits and red lentils - I make those and can the extra. The canning process turns them into an inauthentic smooth paste, but they still taste good.
I'm running over to a local restaurant for injera bread. (I tried to make that once, but must have gotten the batter thickness wrong. It looked like one of those little grey aliens threw up in the pan. I'll try it again some time, but not today.) While I'm there, I might as well pick up some spicy lamb.
I've got the week off and am canning tomatoes today, so I'm not doing much else today. It's weird to not have to plan the week out and pre-shop on Sunday. I'm getting every morning not knowing what's for supper.
