I'm thinking veggie stuffed pitas for me with pears and bleu cheese for dessert. Or maybe an antipasto plate.
Something light and yummy.
We're cooking Sunday, but tonight I'm on my own.
What's for dinner where you are?

(146,218 posts)OK, I'm thinking of doing the lamb chops tonight, but we shall see.
What I have on board at this point:
Two apples
Celery
Two Corn on Cob
Lamb Chops
One Steak
Potatoes
Sour Cream
Not much else.
I can make due with this for another 3 -4 days, I think.

(22,169 posts)We're having linguine with sauteed peppers (green, red, yellow), onions and sundried tomatoes and a salad.
I'm trying to clean out the fridge. We're leaving for vacation on Tuesday (YAY!) for two weeks of camping in eastern Quebec .
grasswire
(50,130 posts)what's it like? I don't know anything about the terrain there.
Lots of bugs, I spose.

(22,169 posts)we're going to the Gaspe Peninsula to a national park near the town of Gaspe. Quebec (the province) is not dog friendly, but the National Park is and we are bringing our dogs with us. Thirty years ago, we were camping in Nova Scotia and met a biologist who had just come from Gaspe. He said it was absolutely beautiful and remote and that we should go there. Well, we are finally going...
I'll let you know, once we are back. I hope to be surprised and hopefully not chewed to bits by bugs .

(50,130 posts).....and looking at the pictures on google image, the terrain is varied and beautiful!
And interestingly enough, the world's oldest bug lives on the north side of the peninsula.
I so would like to explore the eastern provinces.

(22,169 posts)and then over to Forillon National Park east of there. It's hard to believe we are finally going there, but we lived on the west coast for many years and moved back to PA in 2007....so now we are closer.
Definitely get there grasswire. We stayed in Nova Scotia for two weeks thirty years ago and wanted to stay longer.

(1,708 posts)with tomatoes, bacon and cheese. The tomatoes are from the Farmers Market, along with the corn and broccoli accompanying the sandwiches.
This was a July/August favorite when I was growing up. My dad had a huge garden, and grew tons of tomatoes. My sister-in-law invented the term "summer-sliced" - when you have such a bounty, you slice the tomatoes nice and thick.

(50,130 posts)also zucchini pan fried and with buttery crumbs
and some creamy linguini for those who can eat carbs
Tomorrow is market day here. I'm heading for more blueberries for the freezer, and English peas if there are any left. Pickling cucumbers might be ready.

(32,100 posts)I had a lot of distractions this evening, before I knew it, it was 8:00, and I realized I wasn't really hungry. Kinda got the Yuks again. So, I'm just having a beer.
fizzgig
(24,146 posts)sorry you're feeling yucky.
GoCubsGo
(32,100 posts)It dawned on me this morning that I felt that way because I overindulged in some things that made my stomach gassy. And, I'm not talking about the beer. The beer actually made me feel better.
