(102,330 posts)I'm taking a long, long, long walk with the pup then home for a baby spinach omelet with parmesan cheese and a tiny tiny bit of nutmeg. Hoping the protein will help me ward off a migraine.
I am taking an older neighbor to the polls mid-morning and then working.

That & my bowl of cornflakes w fresh blueberries & strawberries, and a nice cup 'o java. Pilates & a good dose of walking w be good to keep the stress down and the optimism up.

(2,309 posts)The eclipse was fun. Had to drive to a vantage point, and was pleased to see several other folks there, all quietly watching the sky. Peaceful, but very chilly!

We voted weeks early so only a doctor visit this afternoon is in the schedule.

Mailed my ballot 2 weeks ago. Taking Dad to vote this afternoon. I have concerns about this because he admits that he's not all that informed (then again, a lot of people are not very well informed) AND he gets confused (not just about the election, but about a lot of things).
I told him that 1) he can ASK the poll workers for help; and 2) he is allowed to leave some sections of his ballot blank if he is unsure of his choice.
Like I said, I'll be with him, but I do not wish to be the one to provide assistance once we get to the polls. (I don't want anyone to suggest that I'm telling him how to vote. We're a tiny little town and it's unlikely that anyone would raise any objection if I were to help him, but I would feel more comfortable if there were absolutely NO question about it.)

(17,318 posts)I made a cup of coffee with Trader Joes almond and coconut creamer. I really like it, it has a slightly sweet flavor. Ive tried many plant based creamers and this by far the best.
Im feeling very hopeful that the youth vote will come through. Ive told every young person Ive run into that if they ever want to have sex without fear of dying (or their partner dying) they need to vote. Theyve said they knew about it and would vote. I dont run into a lot just a few, though I may have left permanent damage a 62 year old woman asking about their sex life!

(22,767 posts)Husband already made his own breakfast: poached egg, biscuits with butter and molasses. Not sure when, what or if I'll eat anything for breakfast.
Mailed in our ballots 2 weeks ago. Nice not to have to be rushing around to find time to vote, as well as risk COVID infection. Highly recommend it.

Will fry some eggs and toast some potato bread.
I am having whiskey coffee brought from Scotland.
I am not overly fond of it but it is better with some coffee rum liqueur added. Yep. Wake n drinkin this morning! Probably gonna wake and bake too. Its my day off.
The polling place is half a block away. Will walk over and vote pretty soon.
