Horseshoes? Go figure. Everyone got into it. Some really "spectacular" throws. Told my sister we ought to have EMT's on stand by. Fun all around.
Beautiful, sunny day in the park. Had a dance with my sister. Gave her a framed picture of the two of us dancing at the Yosemite rental cabin we used as a ski base, from a birthday trip 15 years ago.
It was great to see my sister with her best friends, former co-workers. A group of 4 women who've known each other for 30 years.
And, of course, the world famous Lois was there. We've been around so many blocks together, known each other for 25 years, at times just a grin and a look is enough. "Yeah, I get it."
Came home with enough chocolate cake for just about the whole neighborhood. Plus enough pulled pork, cole slaw and potato salad for a handful of meals for this birthday guy.
60 is a good thing.
