I have some regular cheddar and mont jack I want to get rid of now that I have all these fabulous cheeses I ordered.

How about you?

pound out the cutlets, season with S&P and lemon zest, brown them well in a bit of butter, add lots of capers and some fresh lemon juice to the pan, deglaze the pan with a bit of white wine.

On the side, a bulgar wheat pilaf with caramelized red onion and summer squash.

Fresh apricots and little plums from the neighbors' tree. These little plums are a flavor explosion!

If I can't convince the SO to make something healthy for us I just may very well open that bag of Trader Joe's Mandarin Orange Chicken that is lurking in my freezer....

but the little bastards thawed and turned into chicken breasts - and in the process oozed breast slime on several shelves of my fridge.

I had a late lunch. My BFF found out I made chicken curry salad and brought a bottle of chardonnay over. This is the first time all year either of us have had a chance to enjoy our outdoor areas, as both of us are involved in renovations. Thankfully they are winding down now.

Here's where we dined, which is in front of my house (the flowers have all been planted by now!). In addition to the chicken curry salad, I served watermelon, strawberries, and blueberries followed by another variation of my mango dessert (I'm experimenting with that recipe).

We had a terrific day in the east, but tomorrow it's back to hot weather for us. Back to the low 90s.

I'd enjoy eating absolutely anything there!

It's been unbearably hot here in NY, too. And last weekend I was in Vermont, right on Lake Champlain, and it was hot as blazes there, too.

when you typed "where we dined" how did you get the link to open to
the picture? I have seen that on DU and have no idea how it is done.

Hope it is okay to ask that on this forum .

Click "Link" from the menu commands just above

Makes it a link.

Thank you both for the nice comments on my outside dining space.
