I can't stop making comfort food because of this massacre

Last night, I made chicken and dumplings and an apple pie, both from scratch. Today, I was gonna braise a brisket, but got tied up at the Asian grocery that I don't have time now, so will be making bul go gee instead (because I *love* getting tied up at the Asian grocery)...I think I want to make a meatloaf next...

Does this happen to anyone else? And if it does, what do you make?

my 6-yr-old grandson, who was staying over last night. All I could eat today were the cookies. Sweets definitely count as one of my comfort foods, and I was eating them like no tomorrow. Every time I looked at my little guy, I thought about all the dead kindergarteners.

It's the most precious age, I think. Just turned six. I adore that child.

This weekend the slow cooker will not get a break.

I'm thinking short ribs on Sat and a brisket on Sunday. In such a mood for comfort food.

My co-workers are eating very well. Today I finished my third pie this week.

Key Lime this time.

I've also made Banoffee and Blueberry Creme.
