Picked up a nice all natural boneless pork loin roast on sale for $2.27/lb yesterday.
I'll cut it up and stir fry it with my usual spices and either rice or rice noodles.

I stopped at the farmers market this morning, and got some beautiful baby beets. When I bought all the beets he had, the guy threw in 4 kohlrabi, as well. yummm

Would anyone like to share an idea for a main dish (hubs says that means grilled meat) that would be a good accompaniment?

But can I use mustard instead of mayo? And, no offense, but I can't stand capers...I'll just leave them off.

I think I will get some of those teeny, tiny golden potatoes. I saw a recipe for roasting them whole, submerged in salt.

Thanks for the suggestion! Off to market!

Here's another one for salmon. Heat up some soy sauce, dijon and honey. Coat the salmon with it and marinate it for a hour or so. Grill the salmon and glaze it with the mixture. It's fantastic.

I have never heard of such a thing. What about just some warm, garlicky oil for dipping? Oh, yummm!

My family is gonna wish you had never told me about this. You may have created a monster. I gotta go find some stuff that I can cook to dip in dressing. The possibilities are endless!

With Thousand Island dressing I made myself with yogurt instead of mayo. The salad will have a few Kalamata olives, some green olives, one or two hard boiled eggs, giant caper berries, green pepper and rye croutons.

I read the ingredients on the back of my favorite Thousand Island bottled dressing (Marie's) and I was horrified. No more. I'm making all my own dressings.

Now, off to the garden to cut my own fresh greens.
