Related: About this forum(Side note) Picked my first cuke today! Celebrated with an al fresco lunch.
Romaine, tomato, cucumber, red onion salad with basil, thyme and a nice sharp vinaigrette. Garlic rounds with cream cheese and chives. Red grapes, olives, dates. Sparkling white wine cooler with strawberries.

(50,130 posts)An heirloom variety called "German Sour" -- perfect for a large pot, and producing itty bitty cucumbers about an inch long that look like little striped watermelons.
I haven't tasted one yet. Looking forward to it!

(9,791 posts)We've picked a lot so far. My daughter made two jars of refrigerator pickles already. They're not Claussen's but they're every bit as good.
