I would LOVE some cabbage, but nobody likes it except me LOL. I think we are headed for leftover-ville.

on the way home from an epic mushroom foray yesterday (easily 3 pounds of lobsters & chanterelles!), we stopped at a little local farm house and I picked up the biggest head of freaking cabbage I've ever seen... no lie, it's as big as a soccer ball, if not a basketball... so, I'm thinking stuffed cabbage tonight.

We have a ton of basil and we might have a frost later this week--so time to use it up.

I'm doing some fall cleaning in preparation for our big move and not feeling much like cooking.

Hope you are feeling ok, Lucinda.

I buy this good (store brand) pizza dough that pops open like those crescent rolls. I stretch it out, put Contadina pizza sauce strategically on it, along with buffalo mozzarella, then topped it tonight with a combined stir fry of-

sweet onions (infused garlic and red pepper flavored olive oil)
Italian beans (last of what's coming out of the garden)
a couple of cubes of pesto (stored in freezer)
a couple of cut up large hot peppers

Finishing the wine after my belly said, "thank you!"

I like a slice or two occasionally but no more than that. If I buy take out half ends up in the trash.
