So - my husband scored some german marzipan - any suggestions

for some shapes to mold for Thanksgiving and Christmas? This will be our first attempt, so any pointers will be appreciated. I'm thinking we can cut out stars and trees for Christmas.

I looked up stollen - my husband is going to be spending a good part of December in the middle of Saxony - about 2 hours drive from Dresden!

cake. Top it with real homemade whipped cream really thick. Roll out the marzipan till it is really thin and cover the whole thing. Drizzle butterscotch and toasted almonds. Eat.

Shaped like fruit, small animals, potatoes.......you name it.

Personally I would make chocolate dipped marzipan balls/pops. Using short bamboo kabob skewers to dip the balls in warmed chocolate "fondue style" and then refrigerating.

The same process you would use to dip strawberries.
