What's for Dinner ~ Monday ~ January 6th

Not sure here. We stocked up yesterday in case we got ice, which we did, and we still have power, but I have no idea what we will end up with.

How is the weather where you are?
And what's for dinner?

And it's supposed to go down to minus 11 tonight. So I'm going to walk to the store and pick up supplies for chili. I'm going to let it simmer all day!

Haven't decided yet but there's frozen mushroom agnalotti in the fridge, from our local italian deli. It's pretty good, but we had that last time we did pasta Might just go for macaroni. Will prb go for a jar of generic marinara.

Anybody else like to dilute their jarred sauces? I prefer them a little lean, will usually add 2/3 of a jar of water and a dollop of olive oil to the pot when heating it up - yum!

It's windy and snowing now and 11 F. Tonight we're having leftover manicotti, steamed cauliflower and a grape tomato/olive salad.

Stay warm!

They are basically open face sandwiches with refried beans and cheese.

You toast them, then put whatever else you want on the top.

I'm going to make a fresh pico de gallo and we have some really good avocados.

And maybe some crumbled bacon if I feel like frying some up.

Yummly!

The weather here is perfect.

The pizza will have one of those long, roasted red peppers on it. A little Spanish cheese. Chorizos. And baby arugula!

Everything is being made by the RG, who was meandering around the grocery store for inspiration, even though we have almost everything here.

I took some pics of last night's dishes and hope to post them tomorrow.

We have Negra Modelo and red wine to drink, too.

For dessert we'll probably pour some hazelnut liquer over lemon spongecake and top it with chestnut/vanilla ice cream.

last summer and I thought I'd kill someone. Bet people were fit to be tied.
Christie reminds me of Tony Soprano. Bet there's a whole shitload of
good stuff to uncover.
