Easy and simple meal, but the leftovers don't last long enough. I'm going to have to move up to about six cups (dry) at a time.

The dictionary I looked in didn't have either dal or dahl (admittedly it was older). I know it means pea, bag o' beans sounded better than bag o' peas, or even bag o' legumes.
