What's for Dinner, Sat., Nov. 22, 2014

I'm making good old-fashioned chicken soup. The one twist is that I am adding.....(are you ready for this?).....those lemon-ricotta raviolis from Trader Joe's!

I seem to have to fit them in at least once a week! Yummy dee-lish!

Using Pacific cod, but I'll just pan fry with butter (not deep fry). Oven fries. And peas w/ pearl onions. Some sort of tartar sauce, too, but usually I make it just before I eat, so who knows what will be in it.

But I have a refrigerator full of good food, so not necessary to buy more.

Wish you were my neighbor.

But I had no frozen fish of any kind. So, I went to the store and picked up some cod. Only the cod, nothing else. Which is hard, because I am susceptible to impulse buying.

Re: Neighbor - we're on DU - we're all neighbors!

ps: I fired up my old shortwave tonight, and came across a broadcast from Tennessee, one of the religious broadcasts that are frequent on shortwave. Anyway, they had a recipe/cooking hour, so I stopped for a while. The recipes were all yummy, and very detailed. However, I had to change the dial because of the rampant "submit to thy husband" crap which was interlaced with the recipes. Bummer. I felt like it was a flashback to the 1950s, which creeped me out.
